* Keen interest is being shown in the moving-picture lecture, to be delivered by Mr. \V. IT. George in tlm Town Hall 10-night. His Excellency the Governor and the Countess of Liverpool have intimated their intention of being present. Colonel 1!. Heaton Hhodes will occupy Hie chair. A large nnmber of lantern slides, and nearly 4000 ft. of kinema film will be screened, illustrating the life and surroundings of our soldiers in Egypt. Although admission is free, a number of selected seats will bo available at 1?., while reserved accommodation may be booked at tho Bristol for Is. Oil. A collection will be taken at the interval. The entire proceeds are to be given to the Hostel for New Zealand Soldiers in London, for which object .£2OOO. must be quickly raised by the Y.M.C.A.' A num.ber of free reserved seats will be available for soldiers in uniform. Jlr. Charles Collins will give an organ recital from 7.U0 to 8 o'clock. During the evening nn opportunity will be taken to bid farewell to Mr, A. Vamey (general secretary, Wellington Y.M.C.A.) on his approaching departure for Egypt and France.
