_ _« RESULT OF THE POLL. Tho result of tho election of members of the Wellington Education Board was made known yesterday, when tho following results were announced:— WELLINGTON URBAN AREA. Four vacancies had to bo filled, and seven nominations were received. Tho successful candidates were:— J. G. W. Aitken 114 T. Forsyth 108 R. A. Wright 105 Wm. Allan 92 The following wore the unsuccessful candidates:—C. M. Luke, 89; A. H. Hiudmarsh, 39; Kato M. Evans, 33. Total votos polled, 584; informal, 4. HUTT-PETONE URBAN AREA. Two vacancies had to bo filled, and four candidates were'nominated. The following were elected:— G. T. London 21 E. P. Rishworth 21 Unsuccessful candidates:—J. G. A. Castle, 19; D. M. Xeats, 6. Totnl votes polled, 67. HUTT-HOROWHENUA AREA. - Vacancies for two, candidates, and three nominations received. Tho successful candidates were:— W. H. Field 136 J. Kebbell 128 F. H. Price, tho defeated candidate, polled 65 votes. Total votes polled, 330. Informal, 1. WAIRARAPA WARD. Messrs. A. W. Hogg and T. Moss were elected unopposed. MARLBOROUGH WARD. Messrs. A. Mackay and E. H. Penny were elected unopposed. . The first meeting of tho newly-elected board will be lield at noon on August 9, when the election of chairman will take place. _
