DR THACKER CORRECTED
Sir,—Referring to a statement made by Dr. Thacker in the House last night, and also reported in your paper this morning, about comforts for soldiers, 1 wish you to give me a little space in your paper to deny it. Since I have been in this Hospital, now close on two months, we have had plenty of comforts, and through the kindness of local residents, care frequently come up to tho Hospital to take patients out, and how Dr. Thacker came to make Jmch a misstatement is not known, here. We have not ■received during tho Inst few months any cigarettes from any fund, but the men fully appreciate the kindness of the owners of the cars for the pleasant runs they havo had, and also for the cakes and fruit we Teceivo. So I think Dr. Thacker must have made a mistake somehow.—l am, etc., BED PATIENT. August 1. •
