William Tosswill, a well-known solicitor, who sold his business last year, and who was arrested at Palmerston North, has been committed for trial at tho. September 6itting of tho Supremo Court at Mastertou, on several charges of alleged theft of trust moneys. A considerable rim is involved. The hearing occupied two days. Accused lately filed a petition in bankruptcy. He formerly held important public positions here. Mr. V. R. Meredith, of tho Crown Law Office, conducted the case for the prosecution.
