He is very safe, and quick with it. A prominent horseman who has ridden in races where Eraeburn was engaged, says he never saw a horse that used his head 6o much in "setting" a fenco. The locally-owned Imnier has been purchased by Mr. W. J. Douglas, and will Jthis neason bo mated with Mountain "Knight. The same owner recently acquired the llezoman maio Signal March, who will also be mated with the Australian -horse. At a committee meeting of tho Waipawa Pacing Club, it was decided to increase the stakes for the ensuing meeting by .ESO. J. M. Cameron ia leaving Hastings early next week, with his National Hurdles caudidato St, Elm. Thn gelding Tornea will accompany the hurdle horse. In Napier Kooya is thought to bo an unlikely starter in the National Hurdles, for prior to leaving Grcenmeadows she was schooled both ftlmio and in company, nnd gave anything but good exhibitions.
