London, August 1, 3.5 .p.m. "From later particulars, , it appears that the raid was carried out by a considerable number of airships. The raiders appear to have spent some timo cruising over the counties of Lincoln, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridge, Essex, Kent and Huntingdon. Bqmlis were dropped indiscriminately over these localities, but with no damage of military import ance. On one spot,-our anti-aircraft guns were brought into action, and it is believed with good effect. Eull details are not yet available." v
