Wilder, bnrquentino (3.50 p.m.), from Portland, Oregon, U.S.A. THE SYDNEY BOAT. The Manuka, from Sydney, arrived shortly before 11 o'clock yesterday morning. The vessel had a favourable voyage across. Her cargo consists of a. quantity of timber, and transhipments ex Orsova, Fat-ma, Ventura, Tango Maru, Uraga. Boorara, St. Albans. Tho vessel will sail this evening for Lyttclton, returning on Thursday, and departing the same evening for Sydney. CORINTHIC AT HOBART. Cabled advice* announces tho arrival at Hobart on Sunday morning of the ShawSavill liner Corinthic from London, via Capo Town. She was to leave tho Tasmanian r/)rt yesterday afternoon, and should be at Auckland next bunday. AVcl-ling-lon should bo reached a- week later. WAIWERA AT AUCKLAND. The F. and S. liner Waiwcra, from Caps Town via Hobart, 04-rived at Auckland on hiunday morning. The Waiwera brings to New Zealand tho salvaged cargo from the stranded Rangatira. She should show up at this port about-4-he end of the week. BOONAH D"E TO-DAT. Under the auspices of the A. and A. Line, the steamer Boonak.is due in port n-oni New' York, via Panama, Canal, today. The Bopnah is one of the interned Ger-Mian-Australian vessels, although it is not "definitely known which.' It is understood, however, that the vessel was formerly named Melhourne-a. modern stumor of 5926 tons gross, and 450 feet long. She was built in Germany in 1912. The Boonah will subsequently proceed to Auckland and Australia. NEW STEAMERS FOR UNION COMPANY. Two new steamers which will represont the latest word in refrigerated cargo-car-riers are now under cojistru£tin,n to the order of the Union S.S. Company, states an exchange. One is being built by Messrs. Swan, Hunter, Winghain, Richardson and Company, the other by Sir Itaylton Dixon and Company, and when completed it is understood that it is the indention of the company to place them in the Australian-Pacific Coast trade, in order that the present service will be improved. No particulars as to the dimensions of the vessels have hflcn received, nor can it be ascertained when they will be ready for commission'. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Captain Irwin, of the Pateena, signed off that vessel yesterday, on hol'day leave. Hartley has-iftined the vessel in his place. Captain Wat-kins is in command of the F. -and S. liner Durham, which arrived at Auckland from Liverpool on. Friday afternoon. The vessel will be dispatched for Oaina.ru,' Timaru, and Dunedin to-morrow. Cargo will be received until noon only. • The Te Anau called into Wellington for bunkers yesterday,, and proceeded on her voyage to northern ports early in the afternoon. ' The barquentine WangßTiui is reported to be loading at Newcastle for. Auckland. The Ngahcre is expected from Greymouth on Wednesday. She will he d.is.patch.ed for tho West- Coast port the same day.' The coastal steamer \Johii is not now expected - from the south until Saturday next. She proceeds on to Wanganui. The Defender arrived in port early yesterday' morning from the West Coast. She is to he dispatched for Picton, Greyihoulh, and Hokitika at 4 p.m. to-day.
