"At the request of Her Majesty Queen Alexandra, I have opened a Mansion House Fund for the purpose of raising a memorial to the memory of Lord Kitchener. .In viow of his great services to the Empire, I venture to' ask whether you would issue nn appeal throughout the Dominion on behalf of the fund, the object of' which is to benefit disabled officers and men of the Navy and Army, including disabled Dominion sailors and soldiers in this country." - This appeal has the hearty support ol His Excellency and the New Zealand .Government, and it is hoped that it will meet with the generous response which it merit». ' All contributions should be sent to the Under-Secretary, Department of Internal 'Affairs, Wellington.
