FARMER FOUND DROWNED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, July 23. A farmer named John M'llwraitb, aged 46, of Lakeside, who was staying with friends in Christchurch,. was found drowned in the Avon, near Carlton Bridge, this morning. A FALL DOWNSTAIRS. Robert Walker, of Molesworth. Street, was (-admitted to the Hospital on Saturday evening-at 11 o'clock' suffering from severe cuts ou the head, as.a result of falling downstairs. He is progressing favourably.
