It was resolved to rcducc the rent of Section 2, Block IV, llalaroa Township (liducation resenc), frum xr ss. to 15s. per annum, in terms of Section 11 of the Public Bodies' Leasing Powers Act, 1908, to lake effect from July 1, 11117. It was resolved to add the postponed vent, Jil4S tOs., on Section 2, Block VIII, Retarnke, to.the capital value, in terms of Section 5 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1015. It was resolved to recommend postponement of the rent due on Section"4, Block VI, town of Raurimu, for 'the period from January 1, 1015, to June 30, 1915 (iSs.), for two years. A. Allingham applied for exemption from rent whilst away on active service. This was granted. W. Aitken applied for permission to sublet Sections 1. 3, and 4, Mangaone Village, temporarily, to Charles Evans. This was approved. T,. Anderson applied for leave to subdivide Section 19, Block 11, Tiffin (Carrington Settlement), and surrender a portion (20.3 perches), and this was granted. Sirs. J. A. Harrod applied for permission to sublet Section 15, Block 11, Owhango Township, temporarily, lo the Owhajigo District School Committee (area, 1 rood).—Granted. It was resolved to declare. Thomas Weir's interest in Seetiou 9, Block V, Horopito West Township, forfeited, for non-compliance with the conditions uf his lease. The Commissioner submitted a scheme for offering the sections in Helling Settlement, grouped into three, lots of 3a. Or. SGp., 3a. lr. lop., and 4a. Or. 18p. Itwas resolved lo recommend that these three lots be ofl'ered by auction for cash or deferred payment at upset prices to be fixed by the Valuer-General. It was resolved to authorise the receiver of Land Revenue to pay "thirds" accruing from Section 1, Block XVI, Retarnke, to (he Kaitieke County Council, with a view to providing the lessee of the land (J. C. R. R. M'Kenzic) with bridge access to his section. ' Charles Kennedy, for himself and other Riariaka settlers, applied to have

llieir holdings declared a special roadiug district, and this was recommended.

The Waimarino County Council submitted proposals for expenditure of "thirds" accrued to the council to March 31 last. It was resolved to approve of the proposals. The Eketahuna County Council requested that the certificate of hypothecation of "thirds" from Sections 32 and 33, Block 11, Mangaone, and 41, Block X, Tararuu, be cancelled, and tlint (lie council be allowed to use tho "thirds" ns ordinary revenue.—Granted. The Kaitieko County Council sought permission to use JIOU, surplus of hypothecated "thirds" from Scction 4, Block V, Kaitieke, in defraying the cost of the Pukeatua steel bridge.—Granted. The l'atea County Council asked the board's consent to the expenditure of "thircis" from Sections 15, 18, and 24, Block V, Nukumaru, on metalling the road between Waitotara nwvay station and W'aitotara township.—Refused.

Simon Dalgleish. applied to surrender 3r. 3.t>p. of bis L.5.L.8., Section 1, Block XII, Huangarua S.D., and il was resolved to accept the surrender, and to approve of said area 3r. 3.lip. being dedicated as a public road in consideration of £he payment tfl the Crown of the value tn'creof, viz., ~£3O, the rent of section reduced proportionately to the area taken.

A revaluation of Section 13, Block XXI, Ohakur.e Township, 1 rood, was received from the ranger, and it was resolved to reoffer on renewable lease at a rent of J2l 10s. per annum. It was resolved- to approve of (he amount received for improvements on Section 2, Pirink.a Suburbs, viz.. .2125, b:ing paid into the public account. It, was resolved to approve of the amount received for improvements on Section 20, Mataroa V.S., viz., JGI Is., being paid into the public account. Other Business. It was resolved thai: the Valuer-General te nsked to review his values of Sections 20 and 27, Hall-Jones Settlement, areas 1 acre 1 rood 22.5 perches and 1 acre 2 roods 31 perches respectively. The application of Messrs. A. E. T. T. and A. h. M. Symes to sub-lease Section 9, Block 5, Omahine, consisting of 175 acres, to J. I'arr was refused. Under special resolution, in terms of the Public .Bodies' Leasing Powers Act, 1908, it was . decided to grant the subdivision and transfer of Section 9, Block 2, Mukotuku, consisting of 35 acres, from E. V. Hussev. to the Raetihi Town Board.
