Though General Kaledine is temporarily quiet on the Lusk salient, General Sakharoff is putting in brave blows. His victory north of Brody is a most serious threat to von Bothnier's prolonged stand along the Strypa. Though von Bothmer is still assisted on the right flank, the f-'sct that the Dniester is in flood makes great developments in. Galicia impossible until von Bothmer. falls back.. General Sakharoff is now fighting for the fords of the .small stream at Boldurnovka, where the Austro-Germans aro making a stand. The battlo has already brought, Sakharoff four miles nearer Brody, and deepened the- envelopmentlof Pflanzer's Austro-Germans, who are. fighting to the southward.
