The annual meeting of the Masterton Bowling Club was held • on Thursday evening. The report and balance-sheet were'adopted, and several new members were elected. The trophies won .during the past season were presented by. thn chairman. Mr. T. Cresswell was elected ivesid'ent for the ensuing vear, Messrs. A. B. Lawrence and C, Foist vice-presi-dents, and Mr. Tx. G. Vile secretary. Messrs. Connell, Staples, and Thompson were appointed delegates to the centre, and llr. .T. C. Ewinglon sole selector. The Bristol Piano Co., Ltd., sole agents for Messrs. Hawkes .and Son, of London, famous manufacturers of band instruments, is exhibiting in its windows a ■magnificent set of Hawkes Excelsior Sonorous, triply silver-plated, Class A instruments,'which has been purchased by the Wellington Patriotic Society's liand. .
