Sir Thomas and Lady Mackenzie were present at tho wedding of Lieutenant R. Parkinson, son of the eminent New Zealand physician, Sir Thomas Parkinson, which took place in London recently, states a London correspondent.

At the meeting of the City Council Inst night, Councillor W. H. P.. Barber expressed the sincere and heartfelt symnathy of the members of the council with Mrs. Luke in the death of. her mother, the late Mrs. M'Gregor. The mover to-' ferred to 'deceased's many excellent qualities and the manner in which she had assisted Mrs. Luke in her war work during the last two years.
