Tho villago of Poziores, swarming with the enemy and fairly bristling with guns, has soon tho Armageddon of many a platoon, battalion, and regiment. Tho> intensity of tho fighting is described as rivalling Verdun, and from tho accounts one can well believe it. No material developments aro reported from tho Italian or tho Russian fronts, beyond local offensives. Tho Gormans have been dislodged from one of the Lipa sectors. Thcro havo been two separato encounters botweon British and French destroyers in tho North Sea—one off tho Bolgian coast, and tho other oft' tho Dutch coast—and in each affair tho Gormans fought a running fight as they fled to port. Tho enemy's destroyers were hit several times. _ -
