■ $ PART OP NELSON UNDER WATER. By Telegraph—Press Association. Nelson, July 24. The heavy rain on Saturday evening caused almost unprecedented floods in tho kwlying parts of the city. Tho flood did considerable damago to property. l'here was a big slip on tho Rocks Road, and a house was dislodged on tho Port Jtoad by a fall of earth. PICTON-8L35NH731M LINE INTERRUPTED, Blenheim, July 24. Railway communication with Picton has been interrupted by wash-outs near Tuamarina aiid Spring Creek, where tlia country is inundated by the Wairau River Blenheim and tha adjoining districts are not affected.
