REFLECTIONS ON SOLDIERS
Sir, —As a soldier wearing the King's uniform, I ivould beg to take exception to the frequent remarks in the Press re the drunkenness of men in uniform, and _ also, to the comments 011 venereal diseases. As citizen soldiers, I think it is only right we should be treated as such. We are Hot here for the glamour, of the uniform nor for the ss. a day as under the Government of which Mr. Massey is leader is considered sufficient. We could do far better. Hoping 'if will be left to the people to decide which is the better for us,—f am, etc.,- • T.J.D., Sixteenth Reinforcements.
