MASTERTON NOTES
By Dalefield on Saturday last; tiie Carterton footballers have won the senior championship for 1916. Carterton won Saturday's match by 12 points to nil. The Bed Stars defeated Gladstone by fi points to nil, and won the junior championship for the fourth year in succession. The llasterton Chamber of Commerce is moving in the direction of securing a Saturday troop train from Featherston to llasterton. Measle* is very prevalent in Jfasterlon, and 'one or two deaths have occurred.
