MONOWAI DELAYED. • Heavy rain -at Lytteltou delayed the cargo opera Linns of the Monowni, which was lo have left thaL port on Saturday night for Wellington. Kiio is not expected to get away from the southern port until this evening, being fconserpiently not due here until To-morrow morning. Departure for northern ports "will be taken the same evening. MAPOURIKA HELD UP AT WESTPORT. Advico has been received by the Wellington ollk'o of the Union Company to the effect that the Mapourika, is held up at Westport on account of a fresh in the river. It was considered certain that sho would not clear the West Coast port before 5 o'clock this morning, ami .probably that she would not get out Wore this evening. The vessel will come to Wellington direct from Westport, anil should be here on Tuesday. ROTORUA PROM LONDON". The voyage of the R..M.S. Rotorua,,which arrived at Auckland on Friday from London, is described as being without incident. Pine weather was experienced, except during the run between Cape Town and Hobart, when northerly gales swept the vessel. Caplain S. S'utcliffc is still in command, and he has associated with him the following;— Messrs. S. W. Somerstine. chief officer; F. P. Haines," second officer; O. C. Williams, third officer; E. P. Janes, steward-in-charge; Dr. R. Rhodes, surgeon. The Rotorua is due at this port on Thursday next. WAIWERA AT HOBART. A Press Association telegram announces the arrival at Bobnrt on Saturday of the Shaw-Savill liner Waiwcra, which is bringing the salvaged New Zealand cargo from the . stranded Rangatira. The Waiwcra will call at Auckland first, and should bo at Wellington during the first week iu August. PORT ELLIOTT AND DURHAM" LEAVE SYDNEY.* A Press Association telegram received from Sydney states that the liners Port Elliott lex Indrabarail). from London, and Durham, from Liverpool, left Sydney on Saturday for Auckland. Both vessels are due at this port during the first few days of August. FLORENCE LUCKENBACH IX PORT. The Luckenbach Steamship Company's steamer Florence Luckenbach arrived in the stream from New York, via Panama Canal, shortly after 11 o'clock yesterday morning. The vessel wilt not be cleared by the Customs until this morning, -when she will berth at No. 16 Jervois Quay breastwork.
Messrs. Dalgeiy and Company have accepted the New Zealand agency for the new service, which, as previously stated, will be maintained hy 'at least oue vessel a month from New York to Wellington. The Florence Luckenbach has on board, besides a quantity of general cargo, 320 American automobiles for discharge at Wellington, rihe is expected to have finished discharge in time to get away for Adelaide and other Australian ports about Wednesday or Thursday next. Tho vessel will load at Australia, back to New York. The agents informed a Domikion reporter on Saturday that the Florence Luckenbach was originally an Englishowned boat, named the Dnmara, a ship described in "Lloyd's Register" as 4969 tons gross, and built in 1910 by ilessrs. G. A. Steven* and Sons, Glasgow. The Hattie Luckenbach and Pleiades will follow the Florence Luckenbach to these waters.

Should the message he correct it will be Tuesday before the ship arrives here.
