At the Esperanto Hall on. Thursday evening, at the close of 4he fortnightly meeting of Victoria (Rebekah) Lodge, No. 2, 1.0.0.1 1 '., a very enjoyable evening was spent by members and friends, Sister J' 1 . Fulluiii, N.G., being in the chair. The following items were contributed to the programme:—Songs, Misses Lucas, Dorothy Jones, Sisters A. Bennett. D. Atkinson ; Russian dance. Miss Doris Cox; recitations, Mr. I?. A. Thomson. Two guessing competitions were won by Miss Henderson, and Sister 0. Gordon respectively, and as the result of the sale of fancy work, cakes, sweets, etc., the lodge funds will be substantially increased. Here lie the bones of young Sweptikus Jones, Silenced bv fate are his querulous tones; His peevish perversity paid the price Ho perished rejecting his parents' advice.
