TURKISH MASSACRES AT TREBIZOND
THE ARMENIAN EXTIRPATION: Australian-New Zealand Cable Association. Paris, July 20. M. Batof,' the Red Cross Commissioner in Armenia, reports that he visited 45 villages around Trebizond. Out of S3i3 inhabitants before the war, the Russians found only 367.' The rest had been massacred. Out of 10,000 in Trebizond itself, the Russians found 92. M. Balof reports that German officers and agents directed the systematic extermination of the Armenians.
