OVERSEAS PARLIAMENTARY DELEGATES . Australian-New Zealand Cable Association. (Rec. July 19, 7.25 p.m.) Paris, July 18. The French. Premier (11. Briand) gave a luncheon to the overseas Parliamentary delegates, and in his address of welcome said: "My wolcomo is not an ephemeral manifestation of courtesy, but an expression of ardent appreciation for a nation which is making the same sacrifices. Wo are united to you by tho fraternity of arms. The moment Britain drew her sword legions of enthusiastic young men from Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and South Africa, proud to call themselves oitizens of your Empire, traversed the oceans, bound for unknojrn countries, in dofcnce of liberty." Inferring to the oversea Dominions' assistance to their Empire, he said:—"lt was an event tho memory of which will be gloriously preserved throughout the ages its tho symbol of an ideal stretching beyond tho frontiers of our continents." The French President (M. Poincare), on receiving the delegates, said that their visit marked a. fresh shape to the road which England and Franco wero travelling together with tho object of securing the triumph of right and liberty and a Closer union for fruitful collaboration. Thoro was no longer any quostion ol' distance. Considerations of space had vanished. "Wo are forever united in thought and feeling," he added.
