The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that a/t their Upper Jlutt sale they submitted <i;small entry of sheep and a large one of cattle, and report a satisfactory sale. They quote:—Cull hoggets, 15s. 9d.; store cows, to £6 55.; 2-year spring calving heifers, £5 ss. to £5 10s.: spring calving cows, £7 10s., £7 17s. 6d. to £8 10s.-, cows in milk, £10 to £12; springing cows, forward cows, £7 15s.
Messrs. Abraham and- Williams, Ltd., report:—At Levin on Friday we had good yardiiigs of both sheep and cattle, and although there was very little inquiry for fat sheep, yet store sheep aJid'cattle commanded a ready sale, and realised good -prices. Quotations:—Hoggets,* 18s. 10d„ lfo. lid., 195., 21s. 2d., 21s. 3d., 21s. 6d. ; cull hoggets, 9s. 6(1., 109.; empty ewes, His. 811., 23s 3d., 235. 6d.; fovward empty cows. £5 55., £5 Bs. 6d. to £6 145.; empty heifers, .64 9s. Cel., .-£5 145.; fat and forward bullocks, £14 10s., £15; forward bullocks. £12 Us.; 3-year steers, £8 10s., £9 135.; 21year steers, £7 2s. 6d.; 2-year steers, £6 Bs.; yearling steers, £3 175.; mixed yearlings, £2 10s.; yearling heifers, 31s„ 515.; heifers, in calf, £5 B*., £G 18s. 6d.; cows close to profit, £11 10s.'
