I News Items. Tbo Camp Commandant announces the death of Private J. A. Vipond. G Company, 17th Reinforcements, who died of pneumonia at Izard's Hospital, Upper Hutt, on tho /Otli jiistant. Tho P.M.O.'s cup for the best-kept Hutt at Trentham for the week ending July 15 has been won by C Coy., 18th; E Co., ISlh, were second.

The Galop Commandant (Colonel Potter) acknowledges with thanks one package containing reading matter donated by tho following persons. Wellington, on Friday, July 21, 1916, in aid of mi appeal recently made -by the ofliccr-in-cbnrge of tho Wireless Troop in Mesopotamia for comforts. Mrs. W. P. Massev, Mrs. J. P. Luke, Lady AVard. and other ladies have kindly consented to act as cheperons. Tickets are obtainable (gentlemen's Ss., ladies' _'W.) from the joint' 'honorary secretaries, G.P.0., Box 5G6, Wellington. Leave to attend this function will be readily granted on application in the usual manner.
