The opinion of French authorities is that 3(1.000 troops and 30,(100 tons of war material could Im> transported dnily .to.France if the Channel tunnel was in existence. The Minister.of Commerce (M. Kiot?.) told the Chairman of the Paris Economic Conference that the full execution of the decisions 'of the conference lareely depended on the construction of the tunnel.
