Cooper, S.M., presidi.-fl ax the monthly meeting of the Upper Hutt Court on Wednesday, George Minchin, j who did not appear, was fined -iOs., with costs 46i., for assaulting the Town Boßi'd ranger, H. E. Whiteman, tho Magistrate stating that as. the latter was doing his duty as a public servant the assault was a bad one. 13. Watkins, J. Williamson, J. Weir, and J. Phillips were each fined 55., with 7s. costs, for allowing stock to wander on the public street. For-a. similar offence, W.
