' In the House of Lords, Visoount Haldane was rising to speak when, tie Duko of Buccleuch asked him to explain his past conduct in deceiving Britain regarding the German danger. Viscount Haldane replied: "There has teen an extraordinary amount of misrepresentatioh on this matter, and the sooner tho truth is brought to light tho better."
