THE WEATHER
FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. I'rcsent indications are' for strong southeasterly winds, with cloudy and unsettled conditions 'at. times northward ol Kawhia and Napier,, and south-east % north-easterly -breezes, with cool and fair to cloudy -weather, elsewhere. Barometer little movement at present, but falling in tho south after about Z4 hours. Conditions ai'o threatening to tho northward of the Dominion. The barometer rose 'rapidly during Wednesday night, with strong south to southeasterly winds. Cold and changeable weo-' ther has prevailed with passing: Bhowors, especially in the northern and East Coast districts of the North Island. D. O. BATES.
