UNITARIAN CONFERENCE
Representatives from- Unitarian movements in Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington, Timaru, and Auckland assembled in the Vivian Street' Church yesterday for tho purpose of , discussing the best means of forwarding the cause in< the Dominion. . On tho motion of Mr. D. E. Beaglehole, seconded by the Rev. G. E. Hale, the old conference'was disbanded, and a new body formed, entitled "The New Zealand Unitarian Association." A constitution was framed, and reports received from the various churches. The delegates were . entertained at luncheon: at Godber's rooms, when Professor. H. Mackenzie welcomed the delegates on behalf of the' Wellington Church. The afternoon was given 'over to a discussion on missionary work in. "New Zealand. Tea was supplied by the ladies in the church, and in the evening several addresses were delivered by the visiting delegates.. At tho close general satisfaction was expressed at the success of the gathering.
