TO ERADICATE VEILED DISEASES ACTION BY FEDERAL GOVERN- ' MENT. By Telegram—Press Association—OopjtisM Melbourne, July 11. The Federal Ministry has decided to take action in conjunction with the States Legislatures to eradicate venereal diseases by the establishment of clinics for the treatment of snch case 3. This will involve an estimated expenditure of i!2o,000 annually. It has been estimated that 16 per cent, of persons in receipt of''invalid pensions have becomo invalids through the effects of syphilis. If 'tie disease is eliminated, it is believed that the prosent number of invalid pensions will be reduced by 10 per cent. This, it has been calculated, would result in an annual saving of .260,000. ATTACK ON JURYMEN. ALLEGED UNFAIR VERDICTS IN" FAIR RENTS' CASES. July 11.
