TRIBUTES TO HEROES
At. jeslerday's session of the K.Z. Trotting Conference, the chairman delivered :i moving eulogiuiu to the memory of the. late Earl Kitchener, and rlso dwelt on the heroism desplnyed by our sailors at the Baltic of Jutland. On his motion, the following resolutions .were recorded in the minutes:-—
"That; this conference, reoognisiug the great ability and .distinguished son-ices rendered by Earl Kitchener, one of England's greatest generals, desires to place on record its senso of the immense loss sustained by the Empire in his sudden and tragic death. And further, that this conference oxnress its deep sympathy with l.lie dependants of all "those lost,, in the North Sea battle off Jutland, and place on record its appreciation of '.he gallant manner in which our. sailors upheld the glorious traditions of tlio. British Navy."
