The ilauuka, form Sydney and Hobarl, arrived in port shortly before four o'clock yesterday afternoon. Tiie vessel had a line-v,'eaUier passage across the Tiisiuan Sea. The Manuka will leavo for Lyttettrra this evening, and will return on Thursday, on which day she la to leave again' ftrr Syduey. Due this morning from the south, the Monowai has SCO tons of cargo to discharge hero before proceeding on. to northern ports this evening. Auckland and Clisborne cargo only will be accepted up till 10.30 a..m. The Defender is not expected to get away for the West Coast until to-morrow. Tile Cauterburv Shipping Company s Calm is to arrive here from southern ports on Thursday. She will load l cargo lor Lyttelton, Tima.ru, ond. Dunedin, and will get away tlie samo day for Wanganui and the south. . The Scales Line schooner Isabel,.which arrived at Auckland on Friday frdin Noumea and Surprise Island, made a \good trip from Auckland to Noumea, wher\Blie discharged her cargo, afterwards proceeding to Surprise Island, and loading guano. The- run hack to the northern port was made in good time. While at Noumea the crow of (he schooner were quarantined on account of the recent infantile paralysis epidemic in Auckland. It iB not anticipated that tho Ngakuta will get away lor Greymouth before 'Thursday. The vessel is at present on tho ' 'Ilie Kamo wa.3 held up at Greymouth yesterday. ' She will probably get away for Wellington to-day. The Karu will go on the blip to-day for cleaning and painting. It is expected that she will be dispatched for Greymouth on Wednesday. The steamer Perth, now discharging cool at Jliramar, will, on completion of discharge, go to the (West Ooost to load timber for Melbourne. It is expected that she 'will got clear about Thursday. The Hinemoa got away early yesterday morning for Capo' Palliser, hut the weather was too unfavourable, and slio returned to port. She will go out agam when the weather moderates. The Ruapehu left lfito yesterday afternoon for southern ports.
