WHAT IS WANTED
Sir,—l read with interest your report of the statemont. of -news expressed by the Minister of Education. While I do. not go the length of endorsing all-the ideas of the Minister, yet there is much in his criticism and suggestions which, while they may . not appeal to those of academic minds, will be supported by the many, who have had to battle in the hard; school of everyday occupations and the practical affairs of the world. Mr. Hanan as a Minister has shown grasp and.'courage in expressing his concepts and outlining a policy, which in a large measure is in accord with the rapidly-growing' obstructive educational thought, ' which' - promises .to ensure changes and improvements conducive to more general benefits to the jjreat majority of our- jyouDg-people requiring practical equipment for. tne'battle of life. —I am, etc., « : ' ••- i: - ' ; ■«' ARGUS.
