The liner -is due at Auckland about July 15, and should show up here—a. few days later. SOUTHERN ISLES INQUIRY. Captain If. M'Nab, of Wanganui, and Captain M'Kinlay, of Auckland, have been appointed nautical assessors for the inquiry to he held at Nelson on Wednesday into the loss of the scow Southern Isles. Captain M'Nab has had a considerable experience in and about Nelson waters, lie has commanded several vessels trading in and ouf, of Neteou, and,was for a period «. member of the jfclsou Harbour Board. Captain M'Kinlay was chosen for his knowledge of scows, ifo is a well-known scow master at Auckland. The assessors .will be in Wellington on Tuesday, and will leave iu the evening for Nelson. The JEapoiirika arrived from Greymouth and Westport direct shortly before 11 o'clock last night. She resumes her ordinary time-table on- Tuesday, when she leaves for Pietou, Nelson, and the coast. Cabled advice'states that the American four-masted schooner J. W. Clise, 715 tons (Captain Jacobs), left Pnget Sound lust sveek laden with lumber for Dunedin. The Rosamond was forced to return to Dunedin from Oamaru on Friday in order to have repairs effected to & winch. She is due in Wellington this morning, 'and should get away for Napier later in the day. The Te Anau, en route from Tlmarn to Auokland, will call into this port for bunkers probably on Wednesday. Owius' to the \weather being unsettled the Hiuemoa did not get owav Tor Cape Palliser on Saturday. Should circumstances permit she will make the visit today. Departure tor southern- lighthouses will not now take place until later in the week. The "Barber steamer. Duuachton will not come on to Wellington as has been stated. She-will discharge at Australian ports, her Uew Zealand cargo being transhipped at Sydney;
