ANOTHER BASELESS RUMOUR.

A. rumour is in circulation to the effect that there is to be a drastic change in the policy of dispatching Reinforcements to tho front. The rumour has it that after the departure of the next draft or two, tho Reinforcements, will only leave hero every six months or so. ■ The matter was placed liefore the Defence authorities last evening, and the reply given was that the rumour was absolutely incorrect. Tho authorities put it.this way: "It is absolutely incorrect. A statement has been made in the House, and that statement is correct. There is absolutely no foundation for tho rumour.'"
