THE WEATHER
FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for xariablo lrinde, . easterlies changing to northerlies, and then increasing in lorce. Expect cloudy and hazy weather generally,. but unsettled and showery northward of Gisborne and K&whia. A change is likely to follow in from 24 to 56. hours, with rain in many parts of the Dominion. Barometer unsteady, with a rising tondcncy in tlie north, but fall everywhere shortly. Fair to cloudy weathor lias ruled, but a small disturbance of considerable intensity has prevailed north of Auckland, with strong and variable winds.
