ANOTHER 10.PER CENT. WAR: ! BONUS, . ' By Association. Christchurch, July 3. As a .result of the. Canterbury Retail Drapers Assistants' Union application the Arbitration Court has .granted a 1!) per cent, war bonus to.porters, storemen, and packers working under the retail soft goods employees award. In the aerated water workers' award the Court has granted bottlo' washers an increase of 2s. a week over .the amount recommended by the Conciliation Council. Previously the wago paid these workers was £2 fs. per week. The Conciliation Council increased the amount ' to £2 Bs., and the C'ouit has now raised'the amount to. £2 .10s. The principal difference in the saddlers' award is a provision that piecework rates may be fixed by agreement between the omployers and the union. Hitherto the rates were stated in the award. .'
