TWO OUTBURSTS IN CHRISTCHURCH. 1 By Telegraph—Press Assiciatbn. . Christchurch, July 1. A fire occurred on Saturday afternoon in a block of buildings occupied by the New Zealand Farmers' Co-operative Asso. ciation of Canterbury, Ltd. The outbreak was in the portion used by the association as a bulk store, containing a reserve stock of furniture, drapery, etc. Tho fire was confined to the top story, in which it originated, but the lower floors were drenched with water. It is impossible to estimate the damage, which was fully covered by insurance. ' OUTBREAK AT ADDINGTON WORKSHOPS. A fire broke out on Saturday afternoon in the engine shed of the Addington Railway Workshops. It took an hour and a half to subdue. The shed was considerably damaged, and tho roof was burned. It is not known jet what effect the damage will have on the working of the shops on Monday.
