A-Russian, official communique sta'es:—-"After artillery preparation, General Letchitsky's troops, despite at enemy's desperate resistance,' dealt a violent blow between the Dniester and the Pruth, carrying three lines of trenches. Desperate fighting began on our front along t.ho Biver Ohertovetz, a tributary of the Dniester, and around the town of ivuty, where we inflicted losses on tin enemy.
