CAMP NOTES

———« LIST OF OFFICERS POSTED. Tho following officers having reported at Trentham for duty have been_ posted to the infantry, Twentieth Reinforcements:—Captains A. W. Short, A. M. Rattray, lieutenants W. B. Johnstone, A. J. Glasson, J. JlTJae, .1. 0. Webber, W. 15. L. Napier, Second Lieutenants W. H. .Tones, H. A. Millard, F. J. Ramsay, R. E. Andrew, S. J. Sampson, V. L. Powell, F. G. Painter, A. M'Kee. The following officers hav.e returned to Trentham from sick leave:—Second Lieu-, tenants R. H. Owen (A Company, 18th), A. G. Stanley (H. Company, 18th), V. U, Burton (J Company, 18th), J. W. Smollie (B Company, 18th). Tho Commandant at Trentham acknowledges receipt of a consignment of 15 sacks of pumpkins, sent by the New Plymouth Women's Patriotic Committee. A consignment of 4 cases of tinned fruit has been received, one case being addressed to Lieut. S. G. Holland, officers' mess, Featherston, to whom it was re-consign-ed. There were no indications and no advices received to show the identity of the donor. The remaining three cases were given to the Canterbury members (0 Company) of the Fourteenth Reinforcements.

The following gifts for the hospital, have been received:—Women's Patriotic Society, New Plymouth, 1 oase of old linen, chocolates, sweets, books, and facecloths; Soldiers' Comforts Guild, Wellington, 1 caso of apples: Mrs. J. P. Luke, Wellington, 1 piauo, 1 bagatelle board.
