A Russian official communique, states: "South-enst of Riga the enemy mji tho night of June 27, after a heavy bombardment, with the omission of clouds of ffaa, attacked in great force in the direction of Pulkarn. Reinforcements opportunely arrived, and wo succeeded in repelling the attack, inflicting heavy losses. "In his endeavour to arrest cur offensive in Bukowina, the enemy is l-eglect-ing no means to prevent us from building bridges at many points, but our engineers and bridges corps are simnouutmg all difficulties, and displaying adniirablo self-sacrifice." GERMAN OFFICIAL COMMUNIQUE. (Rec. June 29, 3.25 p.m.) Amsterdam, Juno 28. A German official communique states:—"General von Linsingen has stormed und captured Liniewka, westward of Sokul," "THE RUSSIAN ARTILLERY IS SUPERIOR TO OURS." Bucharest, Juno 2S. Three hundred and ten Austrians who took refugo in Rumania have been, disarmed. An Austrian officer remarked: "The Russian artillery is superior to ours. It is impossible to withstand the Cossacks." THE CAMPAIGN IN ASIA MINOR . TURKS CLAIM SUCCESSFUL OFFENSIVE. London, June 28. A Turkish commuuiquo states: "Our pursuing columns northward uf the Chorok River (Caucasus) maintain contact with tho enemy, who is throwing up fortifications. , ~„,.,.,. "British ships continuo to Lombard undefended places on tho Red t-ea, directing fire mainly.on holy places and mosques. A warship Lombarded the Sheik Hamid's mausoleum near Medina. Another shelled Jeddah Harbour.' N.B.—This latter allegation is officially denounced as "an unqualified falsehood." RUSSIAN SCORE IN THE BAGDAD OPERATIONS (Rec. Juno 29, 10.25 p.m.) Petrograd, Tune 23. A Russian official communique states: "We defeated tho Turks />t lat-üb-tlrmia and Kala-y-Strahine, in the direction of Bagdad."
