FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present .indications are for liigli northerly winds, changing to westerly in and northward of Cook Strait, and northeasterlies to south-easterlies elsewhere. Expect cloudy and unsettled weather, with rain probablo generally, and snow on higher levels in the south. The barometer lias o, falling tendency, bub will probably rise In tlio south after about 24 hours. Atmospheric pressure' has decreased everywhere, and a change lias taken place in weather conditions.
