RUGBY UNION
The Wellington Rugby Union met. Inst evening. Mr. 1). Weir presided. The New Zealand Onion notified that ■CIO had been voted the union as a grant for school football. It was decided to buy footballs with tlio money, and Messrs. A. 0. JCitto. H. Buck, and W. jloniig were appointed n coniinitlce to purchase and dispose of the balls.
. Notification was received thai; G. Davis, a Selwyn player, was injured in the match Selwyn v. Victoria College last Saturday. .
A Poneko player whoso age is disputed by Oriental, and who v/as born in Sydney, was given one month in which to produco a birth certificate. If the player's version, is proved correct. Oriental will bo wjiiiired to pay tlio cost of procuring the certificate. The Dental Corps at Featherslon and Trcntham wish to play a match in Wellington on July 8, and tlioy asked the union for tho uso of a ground. The union decided to grant the use of a ground, but did not decide which ground.
