PROMOTIONS OF N.C.O.'S The following is a copy of a letter received by the Featherston Camp Commandant from tho secretary of the Commercial,and Fanners' Club, Masterton:— "I have been instructed by my committee to request yon will kindly notify tno troops under your command that this club invite 3 all men wearing the King's uniform to visit us at any timo as honorary members, it being tho desire of the committee to endeavour to liiako tho moil's visits to Masterton as pleasant as possible to them." At Trentham the following temporary appointments have boon approved cf by the Camp Commandant: — Headquarters Stall' (Q.M. Stores)—Pte. B. Thomson, to be regimental Q.M. sergeant; Pte. F. Linzw, to bo pay sergeant. C Compauy, 17th Reinforcements—Pte. F. A. Carter, H. 11. W. Gibson, H. ,T. E. Gunn, I/, S. Johuson, H. A. 0. Taylor, J. E. Vaughan, N. M. Wadsworth, to bo lance-corporals. G Company, 17t.ii , Roinforcemonts— Corpl. C. 'J'. Brown, to bo sergeant; Corpl. J. M. Sutherland, to bo lancesergeant; Pies. I. D. Donaldson and J. M. Horve, to bo lance-oorporals. N.Z. Medical Corps—Pte. G. T. Tierney, to bo Orderly Room clerk, with rank of corporal. .The following temporary appointments have been approved by the '/amp Commandant at Featherston:— Corpl. G. P. Dawes, .1 Company, lltli, to bo corporal; Corpl. 'I'. Green, J. Companv, 14th, to lie sergeant; I.cc-Corpl. It. H. Grimwood, .T Company, 14th, to be corporal; Pte. A. C.
