The following is a copy of the cablegram received by the local hon. secretary of the Navy League from the headquarters in London"President and executive Committee Navy League tender your Branch Navy League and people of Wellington profound thanks magnificent patriotism shown in (sending generous donation ,£SOOO for immediate relief dependants sailors lost during war." In response to the recent Navy League circular, following the newspaper appeal, amounts continue to come in from far and near, and are all being handed over to the president (the Mayor) for official acknowledgment. Amongst recent sums received is an amount of .£l2 Gs. from the lied Cross Society's Kumara Naval Day.- The Wellington Btreet collections formerly announced as ,6704 have been increased hy some .£l2, further returns. A number of people to whom (ho league circular was posted had already given generously. In sending out the 25,000 circulars it was practically impossible to discriminate. ■CIGGO FROM HUNTERVILLE.
