FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications aro for eouthorly winds generally, moderate, to strong and squally at times. Weather cold and changeable; barometer unsteady, with a rising tendency at nrcsent. An oxtensivo westerly area of low pressure is likely to prevail towards tho end of tho week. Tho extensive low-pressure systems which ruled over the Dominion during last weok havo now passed eastward. Strong southerly windß have ruled sinco Friday night, with dull, cold, and showery weathor, and considerable snow has fallen on the higher levels in tho south. - D. O.
