WELLINGTON CLUB'S ANNUAL MEETING. "

Mr L. Ledger presided at the annual meeting of tho Wellington Bowling Club last evening. There was a large attendance of members. ■ ' In moving the adoption of the annual report the retiring ' president said that tho sum of .CllO had'been-collected,-per. medium of subscription lists, for tho Red Cross funds. For the first.time m nine years tho club had a credit balance amounting to ,£76 Bs. Bd., and this was very satisfactory. ',; ' ".'.' Mr. I. Salek, in seconding the motion, said that he felt gratified at the state of tho club's finances.- A month, ago there was over .£IOO owing in subscriptions. As treasurer he did not think it was right that ho should bo called on to collect subscriptions. "1 tun ..not a. debt collector, and I think.it is up to members of- a club like this to forward their subscriptions to me," he said in conclusion. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. W. Berry;, vicepresident, Mr. .A. Erskine; lion, secretary, Mr. C. W. Tanner; hou. treasurer, Mr. I. Salek; directors, Messrs. J.. Gooder, .T. Porteous, J. J- Roberts, S. S. Williams, and A. Wylie s auditor, Mr. E. Liddlof

At the conclusion of the election of officers the newly elected president presented the various trophies won during the season. ' victoria'~club.. About 40 membera assembled for the annual meeting of the Victoria Bowling Club last night • The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. M. S. Marks; treasurer, Mr. W. Reid; secretary, Mr. If. J. Evans; directors, Messrs. J. S. Keith, W. E. Jackson, R. Scott, C. Campbell, R. S. Haughton, and C. B. Norwood; hon. auditor, Mr. ;R. Dixon; delegate to the Wellington Bowling Centre, Mr. J. S. Keith. The delegate to the Centre was instructed to use his own discretion in discussing a notice of motion in the matter of inter-club games to come before the centre at its next meeting.
