MR. FIELD AND THE "MAORILAND WORKER."
Sjr,—llr, Holland mentions in his letter that I liatl inclined his invitation to a debate, nwl publishes part <jf my letter to him in his. paper, the "iiaorilaiid Wqrk&r," As the part of the letter .which he omitted bears on the point at issue, perhaps you may find room for the hotter, which is as fgilows;— "Miiny thanks for your invitation to a debuts, which I.must decline, as it does not appear, to me that the • debate—whatever the vote—would prove mora than that you represent, a part of Labour, whjqii is not pitted.- I cannot accept the extracts which I quoted from j-anr paper, and which appeared in The Dojimpx, as being the opinions- of Jjubonr, and I am glad to notice Unit in your letter ! to The Dominion' you appear anxious to disclaim them as the 'Maurilaud ■ Worker's' opinion."
Tho only question that matters at tint present time is whether -the "Maoriland Worker," which is thy official organ of the United Federation of Labour, desires to assist the Empire and its Allies to win the war or not? In spite of 3lr. Holland's lengthy letters and protestations, he has . not yet made tlmt point clear.— I aiu, cto.i T. A. IT;TIELD. (Continued on page 7..)
