VICTORIA CROSS AWARDS. By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyright (Rec. June 22, 9.20 p.m.) ' London, June 21. Tlie Victoria Cross has been awarded to Captain John Linton, of the Indian Medical Service, who persisted in ''carrying out his duties under a heavy fire, though shot in the arms and the side. To a Sepoy, CUatta Singh, of the 9th Bhopals, for assisting his wounded and helpless commanding officer. He dressed the wounds, dug into cover under heavy tire, and remained there for five, hours, shielding his officer's body, and ~ later brought.him to safety.
