Sir Edward Carson . attended. ' (Rec. June 22, 9.20 p.m.) London, June 22. Cardinal Logue and Bishops M'Hujrh, M'Eory, M'lCenna, and Stulhean have pronounced against Hr. Lloyd George's proposals. Cardinal Logue considers that it would be infinitely better to remain another fifty years' under English rule than accept the proposals. Mr. Joseph Devlin, M.P., in a powerful manifesto, urges the acceptance of the proposal, which is a God-given chance. He believes that the counties which stand out will inevitably be ' drawn under Home llule by the force of circumstances. The Irish Unionist Alliance in Dublin has resolved against tlft* proposals, considering, among other things, that they are a concession to the recent rebellion.
