... FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present, indications are for stormy conditions generally, cloudy and: unsettled ■weather, with Tain probable. Expect stomp "west to south-west winds In the north and southerlies elsewhere. Baro- : meter unsteady, with a temporary rising tendency. A slight increase in atmospherio pressure has taken place iu the lip-rth, but the centre of' cyclone is apparently located on the West Coast of the South Island. Strong westerly winds have been, experienced in tho northern districts, and south to south-easterlies hs,Te predominated in the south.
